Classic Tryouts for 2024-25 Season:
LSA will offer 4 days of tryout/evaluations for boys and girls born in 2014, 2013 AND 4 days of tryouts for boys and girls born 2012-2006. The sessions will offer a 30 minute skills assessment and a 1 hour small-sided game.
U11 and U12 (Birth Years 2014-2013) Classic Dates: May 7,9, 14 & 16. All sessions begin at 6pm and end at 7:30pm.
U13-18/19 (Birth Years 2012-2006) Classic Dates: May 21, 23, 28 & 30. All sessions begin at 6pm and end at 7:30pm.

What is the Classic Team Program?
Classic is the top youth soccer league in North Carolina and encompasses various divisions in each age group. Teams are divided into competitive divisions ranging from 3rd Division to Premier all falling under NCYSA. Classic is a competitive level of soccer where each player will earn his/her positioning and playing time within the competitive structure. Training and game attendance is required.
About our coaches:
Classic coaches are paid staff members who are expected to exhibit good character, promote LSA United's core values and continue to educate themselves in the game. All coaches are risk managed and work directly with LSA directors to create the best training environment possible for the players.
Tryouts:
Classic teams are formed at tryouts and are selected by LSA UNITED Classic directors. Players try out within their natural groups. Age groups are determined by birth year. Players interested in joining a Classic Team mid-year will attend a Supplemental Tryout at a day and time organized by LSA staff.
Classic Program Outline:
Our Classic teams compete at the highest competitive level within the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA). Teams range in age group from U11-U19 Boys and Girls.
Coached by our professional coaching staff, Classic teams train 2-3 times a week, compete in 8-10 League games and will attend 1-2 tournaments throughout each season (Fall/Spring). Positions within the Classic Program are year-long commitments for a 10 month season, August through May.
Program highlights include:
- Train 2-3/week with a game on the weekend
- Led by paid staff coaches
- NCYSA Classic league play 8-10 games/season
- Tournaments
What are Club Fees by level and age group?
Academy teams include a Club Fee that covers all operating expenses that the club directly provides. (i.e. fields, staff, equipment etc.)
Our Academy Level Classic Teams train 2 times per week and train and play year-round. Academy Teams range in age from U11-U14.
$1350 ($250 acceptance fee and $100/mo June 2024 through May 2025)
Our Elite Level Classic Teams train 3 times per week. One week of summer camp is included in the club fee. Elite Teams range in age from U11-U18.
$1900 ($250 acceptance fee and $150/mo June 2024 through May 2025)
Club fees for players joining mid-season?
For those players joining mid-season, the fees for the 2022-2023 program will be pro-rated based on the date of joining the team. The initial registration fee will be due upon acceptance and the monthly fee will begin at the date of joining the club.
What are Team Fees?
Team Fees will vary by team and are dependent on tournament pricing, league referee expenses and other variable costs associated with each team’s respective level of play. Team fees are collected by team manager and can be paid in installments over the course of the year.
